Sports Premium Expenditure 2017/18

We are delighted to announce that at the end of July, the government increased our Sports Premium allocation for 17/18 significantly. Funding allocated this year is £13,704.00

Plans for this funding include:
Continued provision of funded after school sports clubs and PPA cover: Cost IRO £8,000.00

Educational visits in support of the National Curriculum: –
Various outdoor pursuits such as orienteering which will take place later this year led by the team at Essex Outdoors.

We are currently creating new plans for how to spend this funding increase, and will keep you updated.

Sports Premium Expenditure 2014/15

This year we received £8,405 from the Government to fund sporting activity at St Giles’.

We have been able to increase the amount of specialised coaching to six hours per week across the school. The sports coach is running two after school clubs; one which is a fun based club and the other more geared to training for competitions. Money has been used to buy into the Hedingham Local School Sports Partnership giving us access to sport festivals and competitions across the year.
